Taka Plaza

After Lucky Plaza closed down, friends have been asking where the shops moved.  I know of some that moved to Saigon Square 2, but mostly, they moved to Taka Plaza at 102 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia St. in District 1.

It’s a 2-floor building and the 1st floor is almost filled up with shops.  The second floor lay empty.

Like Saigon Square, it has lots of shops hidden at the back of main hallways — which is something I really don’t like.  I’m more of a straightforward shopper — if I don’t see your shop upfront, I don’t go out of my way to check the shops at the back.  I think that’s the pitfall of Vincom Center because of the haphazard layout they have too.

But what I love is the prices are affordable!  Very much like Lucky Plaza!  Saigon Square 1 and 2 prices are steep compared to the shops here.  Although, Taka Plaza have less selection.  Maybe in time, the shops will get filled up.

Nam Ky Khoi Nghia is a one way street.  So if you are at Le Thanh Ton St., just get off at the corner of Nam Ky Khoi Nghia and walk towards Le Loi St.

Happy shopping!

  1. Normally, I would go out of my way to look for those shops in the back, their prices are even cheaper. Although it’s already cheap up front. Happy shopping!
