Saigon Kitsch

3 Shops in 1

I was in search for a good meal at lunch today when I chanced upon a shop of 3 floors at 43 Ton That Thiep in District 1.

The 1st floor showcased Saigon Kitsch products that are all Vietnam-Communist-themed.  It was packed with notebooks, coasters, bags, mouse pads, incense, placemats, jigsaw puzzles, mugs, shot glasses, candle holders, and a lot more.  There were Chinese tourists who bought a bunch of bags.

The second floor back area is home to Urban Propaganda apparel and bags.  They really had cool stuff there.  The front part had May London clothes which are very chic.  Geisha was on the third floor — which also sells flowing dresses.

Needless to say, I only got myself a couple of boxes of coasters for my sister’s collection.

Had I known that this place existed before, I would have taken my friends, who came to visit Vietnam, here.

  4. My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find nearly all of your post’s to be what precisely I’m looking for.
Do you offer guest writers to write content to
suit your needs? I wouldn’t mind composing a post or elaborating
on a number of the subjects you write with regards to here.
    Again, awesome site!
