28 Dong Khoi St.

This small bookshop along Dong Khoi St., is one of my favorite places to visit.

It’s filled from floor to ceiling piles and piles of second hand books.  And if you’re in Saigon, you’d see that this shop has more selection on English books compared to the bookstores, Fahasa and PNC.  It also sells French-translated books.

I also like browsing (and buying) postcards from this shop and I’ve actually become friends with the owner who even lets my son sleep on his lounge chair while I browse through his display.

At the back of the shop is the archive section where there are maps (old and yellowing ones), photographs, and outdated postcards.

Lots of good finds in this shop if you’re into books and history. 🙂
