I was on a cab on my way to the Buu Dien when I saw this coffee shop at the corner of Pasteur and Le Thanh Ton Streets in District 1 (right across Rex Hotel). Decided to check it out after posting some mail.
They serve coffee (of course!), cakes, pasta, salad, and rice meals. I had to order a quick meal as the lunch hour was almost over so I just ordered tuna salad and lime juice. I had a good meal!
The owner’s name is Thanh and he talked to me a bit and told me that it was their opening day and they’re giving 20% discount for one month — so that’s today, December 20, 2010 to January 20, 2011.
So hurry over!
For more information, you can call them at (08) 3824 2358 or Thanh’s mobile at 0908218649.

Hey I noticed this new place also. Good to hear it is nice.
Hi Dani! I think they’re still trying to get their groove as they just opened today but the owner was very welcoming and my tuna salad was tasty. Will definitely go back to sample some other food in the menu.
is it expensive 😦
i checked out the place n loved it… it is not expensive at all
Will definitely check it out – it’s near my school! What’s the price range?
Hi MinhKhang! Sorry for the late reply as I’ve been out on a holiday in Manila. The salads are around the 50,000 VND ++ range. I haven’t explored the other food in the menu yet.
Thanks for your recommendation. I have paid a visit to the place after reading your post. It’s a really cute ‘corner’ to spend the a leisure afternoon to watch life passing by. Foods and drinks are great and price is very affordable. Thanks for the recommendation again. It seems that you know Saigon very well. How long have you been here?
Hi Han Han! I’ve only moved to Saigon in July 2009. I don’t know a whole lot about Saigon but I try to “try” new things once in a while, like the Bitter Sweet Coffee House. 🙂 Glad that you liked the place. The people are very pleasant there.
I’ve been to the place to day and order a caramel blend, and i threw it away after one sip. It was like soya bean and sugar, and aftertaste like sour in your mouth. It was the worst 72.000vnd I have ever spent.
Awww that’s too bad. I haven’t tried any of their coffee drinks yet. Maybe they mistakenly gave you another drink?
Will watch out for that next time I’m there.
Thanks for the heads up!
Agree.
Nice location and ok decorations I don’t think the food and drinks are that good. 😀
I recommend the MOF coffee 30 Le Loi distrct 1 – just a few steps away 😀
good place, awesome food 😀
Thanks shopaholic for the reco!
Will definitely try that place! Hmmm… I think i can go tomorrow!
