Unearthed this blog post in my other blog and I wanted to repost it here as I just visited the Reunification Palace today.
We had some guests last week and as usual, we had to take them to the Reunification Palace (formerly known as the Nostrodom Palace) in District 1. Walking up and down the palace is good exercise. If you saw our tour guide, you wouldn’t wonder how she can keep a nice figure. The whole tour takes about an hour and you’d have to take the stairs.
Since it was my third time there, taking photos of the rooms, paintings, and chairs was getting boring. My favorite subjects are benches and chairs but this time around, I decided to take photos of the beautiful chandeliers and lights in the palace. Most were imported from Europe. The photo above is the biggest crystal chandelier of them all and is the most beautiful I think. It lit up the second floor landing of the palace right above the expansive red circular carpet with Chinese symbols of longevity.
