Don’t you think it’s time to hit the beach?

I think the surf and sand are calling me.  And with the coming holidays (Nope.  Not the Holy Week!), even hubby is itching to get away from Saigon.

On April 30, Vietnam shall be celebrating the Liberation Day or Reunification Day and on May 1, it’s Labor Day.  Since both fall on a weekend, the holidays will be observed on May 2 and 3, respectively, which will result to a 4-day weekend.

We’re all set to go to Phu Quoc — but no place to stay yet.  Would love to get feedback on Freedomland, Thanh Kieu Resort, and Beach Club.

Freedomland sounds like a dream but may be too rustic with a tot in tow. 😦

So, what to do?  What to do?  Where to stay?  Where to stay?

I tried to get there but the flights were full! I hope you are able to find somewhere to stay! In fact, I tried 2 travel agents and they were not able to find anywhere in the country for us to escape to! I guess a nice quiet 4 days in Saigon is on the cards.

Hi Dani! I booked the flight myself via Air Mekong and it was difficult to find flights on our limited budget. There are still flights left for the Full Deluxe and Deluxe Saver (over 1 MVND one-way).

Our last trip within Vietnam was last December in Mui Ne and I’m not too keen on long rides these days after our 23-hour train ride in Nha Trang in October. That’s another story.

Actually, we booked towards the end of the 4-day weekend so we were still able to snag some seats in Air Mekong.

Staying in Saigon is great! Enjoy your holiday.
