Default Hangout

I’m kind of a creature of habit and it really takes a big thing to jar me and veer me away to do a new thing.  I’m boring that way I know.  But like they say, if it ain’t broken, then why fix it?  Since I began working again in Saigon, I’ve used my lunch time to go around nearby areas and explore the streets.

Time and time again, I find myself hanging out at the shared space of Lotteria and Angel-in-Us Coffee along Nguyen Hue St.  Why?  It’s a quiet place even during lunch time.  Plus it has cushy seats and offers comfort food of fried chicken, sundae, and burgers — and coffee!

But I think I’ve grown to like the place because this outlet was designed nicely compared to the others I’ve been.  I love the details of the place!

Embroidered wings on the chairs…(you should see the baristas in their uniform with their polos embroidered with wings on the back too!)

Even the lights have wings!  Nice touch! 🙂  Cherubs are found all over too!

It helps that this is the nearest coffee shop around (well, there’s Trung Nguyen but Vietnamese coffee don’t agree with me. 😦 ).

=)

Lights w/ wings? That’s fire hazard for sure! It’s kinda tacky, to me.

    To each his own. 🙂
