Christmas at the Canal District

Last year, we chanced upon the bazaar and entertainment at the Canal District in Phu My Hung.  So I pretty much knew that there will be some sort of Christmas celebration again.

As expected, a lot of people were milling around the area — but mostly locals.

I loved the lights and decors all around.  Sam was attracted to all the twinkling lights and installations.

The blue lights…

Shops all around…

Calligraphy writing…

On the spot portrait…

Want to get a tattoo?

Take the kids for a ride…

or go fishing?

As always, I had to stop for some cotton candy every time I see one. 🙂

…and I had to try this — which is a combo of shrimp, quail egg and veggies.

Here’s the finished product.  It was quite pricey for 10,000 VND but you have try this at least once. 🙂

More decors…

Visit the Canal District this holiday season!
