It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like TET!

TET is in the air!

I just wish that I’ll be in the receiving end of li xis, than the other way around! 😀

Dong Khoi and Le Loi streets are all ready for the coming of the new year, while Nguyen Hue Street is almost ready to wow everyone!  I am so excited!  The whole street is coming together nicely complete with a dragon installation looking out to the Saigon River by Ton Duc Thang St.  I think this year’s flower festival will be more awesome than last year!

Can’t wait to see the flowers start getting delivered next week! 🙂

The whole city is getting ready as well with office buildings doing repainting and window cleaning!  It’s been going on all week and I’ve seen really scary sights with window washers just hanging by a piece of wood and rope controlled by another person!!!

Even our apartment complex was being scrubbed clean all week!  And flowers have suddenly sprouted from the gardens!  LOL.  The good news is….  the management has advised that all construction and interior decoration will be suspended from January 18 to 31 for us residents to fully enjoy the holiday season!  Ain’t that terrific?!?!?  We can at least now have some reprieve from the awful drilling from upstairs!  Quiet mornings, here we come! 🙂

Crescent has also gotten into the season and have turned the lakeside into a garden.

Suddenly, there are rice paddies by the lake!

There’s also a bazaar going on.

I think the bazaar has just started that’s why there are still a lot of stalls to be filled up.

So if you have nothing to do this season, you know where to go!  🙂
