I’ve been searching for TOMS in Saigon since I read about the advocacy behind this comfort shoes in a Reader’s Digest article (if I remember correctly):

“With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. One for One.” 

Heard that TOMS stores have landed in Manila last year but still none here in Vietnam.  That’s why I got pretty excited when I saw an ad on Facebook about a sale of TOMS here in Ho Chi Minh City.  It’s actually a Groupon site in Vietnam.  I only have a confirmation letter that I signed up BUT since I was going near the shop where TOMS are being sold, I decided to drop by as well with my confirmation email.

Yup!  I found TOMS in this shop.  Can you bilibit?  I mean, believe it?  Shop Digital 24G actually sells laptops and other gadgets but they’ve provided one whole wall to TOMS.

Very limited designs but I’m still happy with the selection.  According to the em oi, more styles and designs will be coming in this weekend.

And it was so nice of them to honor my confirmation email.  They said, I could just pay the same amount in the shop and just inform the Groupon site that I’m canceling my order.

Sizes range from 37 to 41.

Update 02262012: Heard a couple of feedback that these are knock-offs. 😦  So be warned. I can’t believe that a groupon site like Cung Mua will allow selling of coupons on knock-offs!  This is so sad.  And TOMS is also a charitable organization so they’re preying on the less fortunate too. 😦
