Food Trip: Hoanh Thanh Chien

Today is the first veggie day of the third month.  My office mates brought hoanh thanh chien for snacks!  These are fried wontons which is served on a flat wonton stuffed with sautéed pork, prawns, tomato, and onion with sauce.

Sorry, I couldn’t get a decent shot! But these are yum!  Even without any dipping sauce.

I’ve actually tried this back in the Philippines at Wok Inn Restaurant.  I used to bring my family there for lunch when I used to work around Quezon City — it should be along Matalino St.  Hubby just told me that we used to go to the place too in Malate.  Is Wok Inn still in business?

So where do I get this here in Ho Chi Minh City?

Phat Huu Duyen. I’ve heard these things can be found all over the city, but this is the only place I can 100% confirm has them.

Thanks! But that’s really far from my place and I’m about to give birth anytime. 😦 Looks like this craving will have to wait.
