Finally met Dieu of Dieu’s Cuisine today. Dieu Cuisine opens its second restaurant (it’s first in Saigon) at the Pham Ngu Lao area.
Dieu has her 1st restaurant in Hanoi where she is originally from. She came to Saigon in the middle of the year to set-up her new restaurant.
If you want an authentic Vietnamese home-cooked meal, you’ve got to try them out.
For now, Dieu oversees the kitchen and does the cooking herself .
Unfortunately, we only got to try one of her dishes, the spring roll with meat —
My friend and I weren’t expecting much because it’s spring roll. I mean, we’ve tried lots here in Saigon! But honestly, Dieu’s version is really, really good! I forgot to ask why it’s different because I was too busy gobbling this all up!
The prices are affordable — Dieu believes that not only should the food be delicious but the prices should be easy on the pocket too. After all, she wants her guests to leave her restaurant happy — not only because of the food but because the price is just right.
Housed in a 3-floor building, Dieu’s cuisine sits within the really busy street of Do Quang Dau. The ground floor is dedicated to the kitchen while the first and second floors are the dining areas.
Guests are asked to remove their shoes by the cabinet on the first floor. The floors are kept clean all the time.
