Up at the 5th floor of Windsor Plaza Hotel is Ngan Dinh Restaurant. This restaurant has been operating for 20 years.
Although Windsor Plaza Hotel wasn’t it’s original location, it has found a home in this elegant hotel in the very busy area in District 5.
So yesterday, we have been fortunate to dine in this popular Cantonese restaurant. And what I’ve been hearing from people in Saigon is true — their dimsum is perfect.
We had a lot on table but I can’t think of one dimsum I didn’t like that was served. The trip to District 5 was well worth it. Oh and dimsum is only served till 2 pm.
Our host, Michael ordered crab and corn soup too and for me, this is one of the best crab and corn soups I’ve tried. Crab and corn soup is third in my favorite soup list (mushroom soup and broccoli cheese soup).
But I must say that this chicken tasted great! Deliciously crispy! Definitely something I’d order when I come visit!
Ngan Dinh shall be serving special Cantonese cuisine for TET, so if you’re looking for a place to celebrate the lunar new year, I highly recommend reserving a spot as early as now.
Thanks Michael for the treat!
