Don’t you just love this lobby with the picturesque painting of a lady in a cyclo with the People’s Committee Building as the backdrop? Just lovely!

This is actually Liberty Central’s lobby along Le Thanh Ton St. in District 1 just a few meters away from Ben Thanh Market. I was only able to see this place because of a friend who had her birthday lunch at the Central Restaurant at the 1st floor of this hotel.

It was still early for lunch when we arrived but almost all the tables had the reserved sign on ’em.

Yup, it was that popular especially for office workers.

Central Restaurant offer a variety of Vietnamese cuisine for their buffet. And for 199,000VND, the food was pretty good.

I enjoyed the snail, oyster, lotus salad, papaya salad, and main dishes.

Try the place too during the weekends for their steak special at 599kVND.

Since the place is small, you really have to make a reservation to this place. But it’s good since it means that you don’t have to deal with a crowd. 😉
