Windflower Beach Boutique Hotel

I’ve been wanting to write this entry for a while now but the stress of the past week just got to me. photo IMG_3361_zpsa4953e28.jpgThe Windflower Beach Boutique Hotel is a slice of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of Mui Ne.

photo IMG_3376_zpsf6025aed.jpgMui Ne is a real popular tourist destination if you’re from Saigon. If only you don’t have to follow the 40kph speed requirement here, it’s just 3 hours away.

photo IMG_3353_zps085b6406.jpgBecause Windflower is nestled past Nguyen Dinh Chieu St, and the Fairy Stream, it’s not that too touristy.

photo IMG_3355_zps80269981.jpgTherefore, the beach? At times, you’d find yourself alone having the beach all to yourself with fishing boats at a distance.  Luckily, the waves weren’t too high when we visited over the Independence Day weekend.

photo IMG_3352_zps13522ab8.jpgThe boutique has a good-sized pool with shallow areas for kids.

photo IMG_3350_zpsdd913801.jpgThe accommodations are housed in a 3-storey building facing the pool.

photo IMG_3341_zpsab499e44.jpgThe glass windows are huge to take in natural light. Pinwheels adorn the walkways.

photo IMG_3343_zps2dc1a26c.jpgWe got the double deluxe bed that suited our small family.

photo IMG_3329_zps1f6a0d17.jpgI initially booked the Family Room because my mom and nanny were with us but it seemed much for spacious to have two rooms instead. And of course, it’s difficult to have 4 adults and 2 kids with just one bathroom.

photo IMG_3340_zps733886b4.jpgSince Mui Ne is a tropical area, it is possible to meet mosquitoes. LOL. But have no fear, each room is equipped with a Citronella Oil Lamp.

Unfortunately, our holiday was cut short — just one day because we had to go back to Ho Chi Minh City to bring my younger son home who got high fever due to tonsillitis — which he got before we came to Mui Ne. My eldest cried when he found out we had to go home. He totally loved the place.

Thank you Windflower for all the assistance given to us when we had to rush my son to the doctor. The staff were kind to offer to call the doctor but we just opted to go see the doctor at Dr. Dong’s Polyclinic in Nguyen Dinh Chieu. A big thanks to Dr. Sinh for the diagnosis and giving us the proper medicine.

Lastly, thank you to the owner of Windflower, David Vo for understanding our situation and allowing us to check out earlier than what we originally reserved. We’ll be sure to come back!
