I’m wary about buying stuff online. We all know that what looks good online may not necessarily look good once its in your hands. In Vietnam, I’ve tried Zalora and Lazada. Although both delivered the goods, they don’t exactly deliver to your doorstep especially if you’re living in an apartment.

Then there’s Lamido by Lazada. Three weeks ago, I ordered a vintage-y watch that looked kinda like this:
When buying from new sites, I start small. So I don’t buy the pricey items at once and just test it out by buying cheap but useful items.

After placing my order, I got a call after 3 days informing me that the product I wanted was unavailable. The caller was helpful letting me know that they’d email me products of the same category that are available. It never happened.

So I decided to re-order online again. This time they delivered this:

I wasn’t home when this was delivered. Otherwise, I would have checked and returned it at once. 😦

The same day, I sent them an email asking for the watch to be replaced. They emailed back the day after and said that they’ll contact the supplier. And then I again received an email confirmation stating that the product has been successfully delivered. So I emailed back again informing them I got the wrong product. Last email I got was them asking me to evaluate their customer service.

Look, the product I bought is real cheap. I can probably sort this out by going to the main office BUT this was not my error at all. I didn’t order for the wrong size or wrong color. I didn’t get the product I wanted.

Suffice to say, I won’t be ordering from them ever again.

UPDATE!

After a week this post was posted, Lamido finally was able to deliver at no extra cost to me. Customer service was very apologetic. As Lamido relies on its’ suppliers, I’m sure something got lost in translation. So anyway, all’s well that end’s well I guess.
