I love cha ca la vong! So when we went to Hanoi where this dish originated, we just had to find the best restaurant that serves this.
My favorite place in Saigon that serves this dish (and only this dish) is Cha Ca La Vong. This same restaurant is in Hanoi. But according to my friends living there, the best place would be Cha Ca Thang Long. And so we went.
The first thing I noticed? The chunks or cut is more thicker! Yay! More meat!
The verdict? They’re right! This is way better! The only thing I missed is the rice crackers that goes with it in Cha Ca La Vong in Ho Chi Minh City.
Cha Ca Thang Long is quite popular that it actually has 3 restaurants in the same street! We were lucky that our group got a table.
I sooooo love this dish. Luckily, Cha Ca La Vong would be opening a restaurant just at the corner of our street.
When in Hanoi, you have to try this dish!
